The reality of the investment process in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq during the period 2006-2014 An analytical study

Abstract

The process of investment is very important in developing countries, whether national or foreign, and is considered one of the factors affecting the development of countries and their growth and an indicator of the openness of the economy and its ability to deal with and adapt to global developments in light of the globalization phenomenon and increase the shift to market mechanism and control of multiple companies The movement of goods and services, the opening up of markets and the increase in the volume of financial flows between different countries.

The Kurdistan Region of Iraq as the other areas in Iraq have been investment operations, but this process was not such size and accuracy, which was implemented in the region after the issuance of the investment law in 2006 and that due to the existence of security and political stability in the region and where the process of investment In the various economic sectors, especially the construction and construction sector, the strengths and weaknesses of this process were analyzed according to the data and statistics issued by the Investment Authority in Kurdistan Region to show the positive and negative side of the process during the eight years discussed in the research.
