Abstract

Moral remuneration and financial compensation for the success of employees are considered significant factor for the organizations which their works are highly competitive in markets of fluctuated tastes. They are also very important for the organizations which have various fluctuating tasks and which also compete with each other. The objective of this paper is to investigate the attitude of the employees working in the private universities in Sulaymaniyah city of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, towards the compensation paid by their employers. Therefore, this paper was conducted in the selected private universities located in Sulaymaniyah city with the teaching and administrative staff, using a survey model. A structured questionnaire was made and sent to the employees of the universities via online and 85 responses were received by filling in the questionnaire. The collected responses were analyzed using simple frequency distribution tool and an interpretation was done. To identify the variance in the responses and to test the hypothesis, ANOVA was employed. The findings revealed that a fair compensation system of the organizations will result in a positive attitude of the employees and it is also found that evaluation based payment will strongly influence the productivity of the employees.
